Printing Problems :Most of printing problems are due to HP® Drivers. Since in Windows95®, there are Microsoft drivers for each of these non Postscript printers, these problems are non existent on Windows 95. Basically these problems can be grouped as follows- Some Urdu words do not print out at higher point size If this is the case, then you will be required to set the driver in RASTER mode and put the check box, Print TrueType as Graphics ON. This will lead to slowing down of printing but all the Urdu words will get printed properly. The Printing speed is slow. While you need to set RASTER mode for printing at higher point size, this mode slows down printing. If what you are printing is running matter much like pages of a book, then to get optimal speed in printing you will need to ensure that the Graphics mode in the Options dialog of your Print Setup dialog is set to HPGL/2. When you print more than one page at a time, the printer gives error on the second or third page. This problem has now been corrected.

Space in Nastaaliq Script : Calligraphic rules of Nastaliq do not use gap between words. Space character is used only to separate different words else they would join. Even the space gets typed ,the effect you will observe is the cursor does not move because space is of zero width. In non Nastaliq fonts there should be a gap between words so the cursor moves when you press space. If you want to space out first word in a paragraph then please use Tab key. It is not recommended to use space character for anything other than separation of words.

Automatic Kerning in Nastaliq : This feature has been provided to automatically remove white space between nastaliq words. This allows the nastaliq text to look more compact. As the nastaliq text is always written in compact form, this feature is a part of InPage Professional and always enabled.

Could not install no. of fonts : Usually you will get this message when either your fonts have been corrupted or some font files have been physically deleted from InPage directory.

As a first step, you can scan your disk by running the scandisk utility from Windows Now you can relaunch InPage and if you still encounter the same message then reinstall InPage completely. It is also possible (in Windows 3.1/3.11) that 'Enable True Type fonts in application' check box is set to off in the Fonts dialog from Control Panel folder. In this case too, you will get the above message and you will need to set this check box on and relaunch InPage.

Check all the fonts you have copied from outside cd or floppy. Click on Start Setting Control Panel Fonts folder Delete all the defective fonts You should keep 100 fonts that are useful to you in Fonts folder

Generating of PDF/EPS/GIF files : InPage can generate .PDF file if you have installed the Adobe Distiller Driver. Then you can use Adobe's Acrobat reader to read and print this *.PDF file. But please note that since InPage uses quite a number of fonts, these files can become very big.

Files You can also generate Postscript files by using a standard postscript printer driver like Linotronic 330 and printing to a file. While printing you should ensure that 'Send Truetype as Type 1' has been set on in the Advanced Option dialog.

If you wish to publish some urdu/arabic/persian material on internet you can use GIF generating capability of InPage to make pages for web. For this you will need to look at the Export Page menu item of File menu. If you have already laid out a page in InPage, then you can export.... The complete page by opting for the Pages From/To radio button. The page will be exported in GIF format and will be saved under the .GIF file.

You can now proceed to use this file in your HTML pages. One or more selected object by opting for the Selected Objects radio button. In this case if you want to put a newspaper pageon internet then you can first generate .GIF files for the headlines by Export Page command. Later on you can generate .GIF file for the columnar text containing various newspaper stories by selecting and generating .GIF for these linked text boxes.
